The novelty of "Tver Excavator"

Since 2009 the factory started manufacturing the new model of pneumatic excavator EK-20 with bucket 1,0-1,25 m3. On this machine it is mounted a more powerful engine (JAMZ-236-110 kWt or Deutz BF04M1013FC - 114 kWt), bridges and transmissions of company "Zahnard Fabric Friedrichshafen (ZF)" (Germany) manufacture, hydraulic manufactured by "Bosch-Rexroth", JSC PSM.

Well-known brands of excavators EK-18 are also modernized by installing of Deutz (EURO 3) engines instead of Perkins and a complete set of "Bosch-Rexroth" hydraulics. New cabins are mounted with improved comfort adapted for installation of radio equipment and air conditioning.

Great expectations are held to the new model of crawler excavator ET-20 with bucket 1,0 m3, with identical components from model EK-20. JSC "Tver Excavator” and LLC "Mining equipment industry" (St. Petersburg) have developed a new fuel-management control system (FMCS) for one bucket excavator.

Control system improves the efficiency, reliability and operational productivity of excavators by providing a transfer from the engine to the working organ as much energy as it needs to perform a given work. FMCS provides proportional flow of control pumps. If the work movements does not occur, the pump flow is reduced to a minimum, and the engine goes to "idle" mode. Tests confirmed that the excavator with FMCS reduces fuel consumption by up to 35 percent.

Currently, fuel-management system is fully adapted for installation on engines of the Minsk Motor Plant, D-243 and D-245. FMCS does not require any alterations or reconfigurations of regular fuel system and making any changes in engine design. The long-term plan for "Tver Excavator" is the adaptation of FMCS for other models of diesel engines fitted to excavators.
