Excavator-planner UDS-214 is self-propelled, multi-purpose hydraulic excavator on automotive chassis TATRA-815-2. Machine is assigned for finishing earth works in connection construction with surroundings, and with usage of suitable tool also for excavation and other earth works (digging of foundation excavations, channels, building up and engineering networks maintenance). The main bucket with capacity 0.63 m³ can ripper and lift soils of 2, 3 and 4 classes, but with additional replaceable equipment works with soils of 5-th class with density up to 1800 kg./m³. The excavator has the possibility of horizontal walls handling, maximum arm slope angle is 90 degrees. The excavator is equipped with a comfortable cabin with dependent water heating and two-speed fan, besides there is is a hatch in the ceiling of the cabin for ventilation of the cabin in the warm season.

Excavator’s working functions drive-hydraulic, combined with electro-hydraulic, all working operations of excavator are performed by operating the joystick from the operator’s cabin (on the arms of the operator’s chair), which greatly facilitates the work of the operator and increases the accuracy of working operations. Auxiliary attached implements: hydraulic hammer; clutch for stones up to 1250 kg.; hydraulic mowing machine; shovel for loading vegetables; bucket for roadway cutting, width 0.9 m, volume 0.63 m³.; bucket with ripper, volume 0.5 m³.; main bucket, volume 0.63 m³.; grapple, volume 0.5 m³.; jibs, length 1.5 and 3 m.; profiled bucket for drainage canals with an angle of 45 degrees; blade, width 3 m; milling cutter, seam depth up to 190 mm.; ripper; drainage spade width 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 m. and volume 0.21, 0.27, 0.34 m³.; blade without teeth, volume 0.63 m³; planning bucket, width 2.5 meters, volume 0.4 m³.; roller; vibration platform; hydraulic fork. Also available attachments of various equipment with hydraulic drive (hydraulic cutters, etc.) and holder for drilling equipment.
